Thrifty Thursday- Make Your Own Perfume!

2012-06-28_11-32-56_669

A couple of weekends ago, our neighbors had an estate sale. There were many things which did not sell, and the people in charge of the sell gave a bounty of items to our family. One thing which was given to my oldest daughter was a cute little bottle. She wanted to know what it was. I told her it was a perfume bottle. Then, I asked her if she wanted to make her own perfume! She was thrilled! Earlier this week she taught the other neighbor’s nieces to make their own perfume! It is so very easy.

Materials:

Bottle

Water

Essential Oils

Directions:

Put water in your bottle. Add drops of essential oils to your desired strength scent. Michaela used cloves and peppermint in her first bottle. She made several different kinds with her friends earlier this week. My favorite is Lavender! After you add the essential oils, shake bottle. Lightly dab on your wrists, neck, etc. OR you can put it in a spray bottle and use it as a body mist!
