Garden Update

2012-06-15_20-53-32_583

Over the past week we have planted lots more in the garden including: tomatoes, yellow squash, zucchini squash, pumpkins, watermelons, beets, garlic, mustard greens, egg plant, peppers, and more!

Chandler is watering the plants using plastic containers with holes drilled in the bottom. He fills each container with water, and the garden is watered throughout the day! We also purchased a drip hose for other parts of the garden. We rotate the hose twice a day.

I think we are finished planting for right now. Now, for the flower beds! I hope to plant some edible ornamentals in them such as kale, lettuce, oregano, thyme, sage, lavendar (to use medicinally), and ornamental peppers.

How is your garden growing? I am sure if you are in a warmer area in the USA, you are already canning and harvesting!
