Our favorite recipe for biscuits tastes very much like the wheat biscuits at Red Lobster. We love these biscuits. You can change up the recipe by omitting the herbs or using regular salt if you do not like the taste of garlic. You can also leave the garlic, herbs, and cheese out all together for plain biscuits. Just substitute the garlic salt for regular salt. For sweet biscuits use regular salt and add a TBS. cinnamon and 2 TBS. honey. You can also add raisins to the sweet biscuits.
Ingredients:
2 cups gluten free flour (I use rice)
1 tsp. garlic salt
1 tsp. oregano
1/2 tsp. basil
1/4 tsp. thyme
1/4 cup olive oil or butter
3/4-1 cup milk
1-2 cups cheese
Directions:
Combine flour, salt, and herbs. Gradually add oil and milk. Stir in cheese. Mix well. Place by teaspoonful onto a greased baking sheet or cookie sheet. Bake at 450 degrees for 12-15 minutes or until done.
