Baking a Delicious Chicken

The best chicken is by far one you have raised yourself. The next best is an Organic chicken or one from a local farmer you know and trust. However, sometimes chicken can use a little help to taste delicious. Below is the way I bake our whole chickens. Sometimes I do use the George Foreman Rotisserie Grill, but I usually have to fix two chickens just to feed our growing family!

Directions for cooking chicken:

If you are using a packaged chicken, remove any giblets or any other parts which may be inside. Then wash out inside and outside of chicken. Pat dry with a paper towel. Rub butter generously all over the outside of the chicken. Place in a baking dish or roasting pan. Sprinkle entire chicken with garlic salt. Bake at 350 degrees for 2-3 hours or until the chicken tests done. The butter and garlic salt make the chicken taste delicious. You can also use olive oil instead of butter.
