Apparently, Extreme Couponing is going to being a new series of their show tonight. I do not watch television, so I am unfamiliary with the programming on TLC. However, I have read about the Extreme Couponing show as well as watch a clip or two from the show. Needless to say, I was very appalled! I was watching that show the other day and there was a lady bragging about how she was helping out a friend by buying her a bunch of groceries with coupons. She took her friend a bunch of vitamin water and tea that she got for free. While I think that's nice and I'm sure the friend appreciated it, I don't really consider that "buying groceries" for a friend going through hard times. If you really look at what the people are buying on that show, it's really nothing more than ramen noodles, vitamin water, and deodorant. I like free deals as much as the next person, but she show likes to suggest that a person can live on clipping coupons, and it's just not the case.
