Saturday and Sunday Recipes Day 5 and 6 of February Eat from the Pantry Challenge

  • Fried Grits, make patties of left over grits and fry in oil or butter
  • Cherry Blackberry Smoothie- Combine frozen blackberries and cherries in blender. Add a little bit of apple juice. Blend ingredients and continue to add apple juice until desired consistency and sweetness.
  • Baked Potatoes- Wash potatoes. Rub butter or olive oil over skins. Sprinkle with Garlic Salt. Bake at 375 degrees for 45-1 hour or until potatoes are tender. Serve with butter, salt, bacon, cheese, sour cream, green onions, and whatever else you desire!
  • Daddy Oatmeal- Tim can change what he adds to the recipe every week, but he does have a basic recipe he follows.
  • 10 cups water

    6 cups oats

    1 cup brown sugar

    1 tbs. cinnamon

    1 1/4 tsp. salt

    1/2 tsp. nutmeg

    1/2 tsp. cloves

    1/2 cup or 1 stick butter

    Combine all ingredients in large pot. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low and cook until desired consistency.
