Last week I talked about keeping going during times of discouragement. This week, I want to focus on giving everything you do your all!
I remember when I was in school. There were actually students who would just half way do things and were able to sleep at night! I tried my hardest to just do to get by for a few weeks because I was so overloaded. However, I felt like I was not only cheating myself but my teachers, the other students, my parents, and God as well! I felt like I was living a lie. I was still doing well, but it was NOT my best! I could not sleep! I kept being reminded of the verse, “Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might” Ecclesiastes 9:10. I also was reminded of Paul’s words in 1st Corinthians 15:58, “Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.” Boy, did I feel VERY guilty! I could hardly live with myself. I told my mother and apologized to her and even apologized to my teachers. They thought I was making a bigger deal out of it than needed. Maybe they were correct, but to me I felt as though I were living a lie. I felt as though I were deceiving myself and most importantly God. I am so thankful he is just to forgive us for all of our wrongs (sins).
My question for you is, “Why do something if you are only going to half way do it?” Put your all into any project or any other thing you do in life! It does not matter if it is as insignificant as mopping the floor, DO YOUR BEST! GIVE IT YOUR ALL! You will be blessed and you will not regret it! It will not only benefit you, but it will benefit all of those around you including your children and spouse! You will have peace with yourself, God, and in your home!
**These are only my experiences and thoughts! They DO NOT HAVE to be yours! I encourage you to read and study and most importantly THINK for yourself! You do not have to agree with me on anything! Blessings to all who read my blog!"**
